Still Alive, Home on Wednesday

Pretty much sums it up!

Been having fun-hanging-with-friends times, so not so much to write about.

Sitting on a Train

Mostly these are just so my parents know I'm not dead, now.

Went into the studio this morning with Alex and Tom, which was beyond fun. Listening/watching them record tracks for Alex's album was just brilliant, and I was sad to have to leave.

ALTHOUGH leaving meant getting on a train to Leeds to see Sam which I was definitely excited for! :)

I managed the tube without dying or getting lost and am currently cruising through the English countryside on the way to Leeds. Life's good!

Paris, Dublin, London

So, I didn't take my laptop with me to Paris and Dublin, so I didn't have the chance to update you from there. I wrote quite a lot by hand, which I might transfer into here at some stage.

I'm back in London now, and it's been quite marvellous. St Paul's Cathedral was amazing - I've noticed stairs becoming a theme this trip though, as all of these high landmarks seem to have 500 or so to reach the top. (Paris contained a DAY OF STAIRS, which we did Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe one after the other. Our legs were wibbly after that.)

I'm going to Leeds tomorrow to see my cousin Samantha, which I'm pretty psyched for, and then after that I'm going to Edinburgh. I'll be taking my computer there though, so I suppose I'll update on the road.

Going back into London today, so must run.

Welcome to London

So, I'm currently sitting on the couch next to Gemma (!) in her living room in Acton. It's only 8.30am and it's just getting properly light. I am happy to be off the plane, having had well enough of it for now.

I was sitting next to a quite cool person called Kate on the way over. We spent the 4 hours in Singapore at an outdoor bar, drinking beer/G&T and chain/passive smoking. (The former of each pair being her activity, the latter, mine.) It was definitely cool to have someone to hang out with for the duration, and she was very fun.

Anyway - this is just an update so that Mum & Dad know I'm alive. Gemma and I are going to Oxford Circus (which is not actually a Circus.) to shop and look at London-y things.

Huzzah!

Tally Ho!

Fittingly, Brisbane appears to be giving me a send-off of torrential rain. A preview of the joyous weather I'll experience for the next three weeks, I'm sure.

So, I'm all packed up and pretty much ready. I've got some last minute shopping to do tomorrow morning, then off to the airport at about 11.30am. The thought of (best case scenario) 28 hours on planes/in airports does not thrill me, but the endgame will surely be worth it.

I'm pretty damn psyched, I can say that much!
